Food Hub

The Foodbank is Open

HAOS Food Hub was set up in 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We exist to support professionals with the resources to help families within the school community. We help with food, hygiene and care packages and to date have delivered thousands of these packages. We also provide one-off support for house start-ups for vulnerable families, including families who are living in temporary accommodation. Our start-up packs have included irons, kettles, cutlery sets, saucepans, toasters, bedding and baby equipment etc.

Our support is also extended to families with young children/infants.

We are hugely grateful for the extraordinary generosity showed by our food donation partners and our school staff and local community who have enabled us to provide this service. We’d also like to thank Greggs for their generous donations which have not only supported our food hub but a lot of what we do for family support as well.

Volunteers are the driving force behind our food hub supported by our dedicated foodbank coordinator. They are helping families to break free from poverty by not just providing emergency provisions by providing extra support and resources to build resilience, confidence and skills to help people solve the problems that they are experiencing.
